How to help at home


Read, read and read again. Reading is a crucial skill that underpins learning.

You can help by:

  • Listening to your child read.
    • Try to help them ‘sound out’ the words using phonics skills – speak to the class teacher for more information on phonics).
  • Read to your child
    • Sharing a book is just valuable as them reading themselves. It is also a great way to bond with your child and spend some quality time together.
